Latvian Network of Anna Lindh Foundation

The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) runs the largest Network of civil society organisations involved in the promotion of intercultural dialogue across Europe and the Mediterranean. The main mission of Anna Lindh Foundation is to bring people together from across the Mediterranean to improve mutual respect between cultures.

From its very beginning, the ALF was conceived as a Network of National Networks, established in each of the 43 countries of the of the Union for the Mediterranean and bringing together around 4000 civil society organisations who share the values of the Foundation.

The coordination of the Network in Latvia is carried out by the Agency for International Programs for Youth. Currently there are more than 46 organizations in the Latvian Network of ALF. Many of them are youth organizations, organizations working in the field of arts and culture and civil society, nevertheless, there are also few higher education institutions and local municipalities.
